Features

• Drive: Drives the signal into the ceiling, up to 48 dB.

• Link (⫘): Links "Drive" to Makeup.
• (NEW!) Makeup: Controls the post-clipping gain of only the wet signal. "Out" now controls the gain of the final summed signal.
• (NEW!) Oversampling: Opens/closes the oversampling menu.
  • Factor: Determines what multiple of the samplerate to upsample to. A higher oversampling factor will reduce aliasing further, at the cost of CPU.
  • Upsampling: Choose between 2 upsampling methods. Zero-padding (which requires 2 filter stages) or linear interpolation (which requires 1 filter stage).
  • Cutoff as % Nyquist: Sets the cutoff frequency of the recontruction filter as a percentage of the Nyquist frequency. Lowering this cutoff will reduce aliasing further, at the cost of losing high-frequency energy from the sound.

• Transfer Function: A visual indicator of the clipped waveform and the transfer curve being applied to it.

• Ceiling: Sets the level at which the peaks of the waveform will be clipped.

• Learn Peak Level: Click while playing audio. Listens to the audio for 5 seconds and sets the ceiling at the highest detected level. Useful to drive sounds without increasing their current maximum peak.

• Softness: Transistions smoothly from perfect hard clipping to tanh soft clipping.

• Mix: Controls the balance between the wet and dry signals for parallel clipping.
